Here are my picks for the best Techno Festivals for February, and unlike Fyre festival, which has been grabbing all the headlines recently, all these festivals are confirmed.

III Points Festival - Miami

 III Points started as an Art Music and Technology festival in Wynwood that was created in 2013 by locals who felt the need for a better way to showcase local Miami talent alongside world renowned artists. What began as a homegrown festival has now become a platform that showcases not only world class talent but shines a spotlight on local emerging artists and tech start ups giving them an opportunity to make their voices heard.

Standout for me here is Marvin & Guy. I saw them at DGTL Barcelona a couple of years ago, and have been a fan ever since.

The Cityfox Live -  New York

Highlights for me are the legends Octave One, and Italian maestro Georgia Angiuli. If you've never seen her live, make sure not to miss her blend of vocals, electronics, and sounds from unusual sources, such as a toy frog. I'm not kidding.

In-door Gijón - Spain

This is the first edition of In-door Gijon, which aims to be the main winter electronic music event in Northern Spain, and with a line up like this, it seems to be well on its way! The events will take place in different venues in Gijón, in spaces such as the Paintings Room of the City of Culture, Albéniz Theater, the Acapulco hall of the Casino de Asturias, the Ambigú terrace and a "Vermú Session" in the Mercado del Sur, one of the most representative buildings of the center of Gijón. The most important event will take place in Luis Adaro Fairground. 

It's hard to single out favorites from this killer lineup, but if you're going, try not to miss Mind Against, Oscar Mulero, and the wizard himself, Jeff Mills.

Soenda Indoor - Utrecht

23/02/2019

Soenda is a great little indoor techno party in Utrecht every year. I visited this myself a few years back. That particular winter was so cold, and with so much snow that all trains from the airport were shut down, and the bus driver didn't tell us our stop, so we ended up having to get back to Utrecht from Amsterdam! Despite all this, the party made it all worthwhile.

This year, make sure you catch DVS1 and Perc.
